Well I know what i think, Jealous aha.

never seen a GT this colour!

But yes, impossible to find a great GT nowadays so i'm sure this won't be an acception, goodluck keeping it running. But I can only imagine how fun they are to drive..

Edit: bonnet needs de-denting. Arches probably need rust treatment too.

I was originally looking for a 106 gti then i found this its lovely and feels really tight. Your right about the dent also has a cracked sideskirt and arches will need rust treatment in the future but right now im going to be getting it checked over and make sure its running 100% do you happen to know the most common problems? because i really know nothing about puntos.

Not a massive knowledge base but I would imagine that the headgasket goes quite a bit on the GT like other puntos unless it has a sport gasket and has been re-skimmed.

Apart from that I wouldn't imagine there are any major problems. :D

Thanks for the positive comments guys phoned the guy whos selling it today so far he knows its had new: brake discs and pads all round and calipers m.o.t advisorie was a pitted brake disc and its also superchipped (anyone know much about this?).

You guys are making me nervous are they really that bad?
ETA also has an enclosed induction kit and silicone piping ready for dump valve(s).

Any tuned car from the mid 90's with a turbo and 140k on the clock is going to be prone to problems.
Keep it well maintained and dont drive it like you stole it. It doesnt need to be any less reliable than any other car in its class. They are known for blowing up because the youf manage to pick these up now days and dont respect the engine that they have.

Im not familiar with the GTT but that Intercooler doesnt look standard, that could well go in the cars favour.

just look after that turbo..;)...keep it well maintained , and im sure it could last for ages...regular oil checks/changes....does it have an oil pressure gauge at all, you might want that if not....i think take that chip out, get a healthy remap if possible.:) and good luck with it.:slayer:

Right since this has been re opened iv had the car 3 weeks now and i have found the following issues - Floor is rotten and clutch release bearing is noisy also boost level is wrong although so far that seems to be from a previous owners messing about.

Mods i have discovered so far: Lowered 60mm gmax shocks and springs, FMIC, Induction kit, Decat and the potential superchip (still not 100% sure wether this is still there or not)
Plans: weld floor up, New exhaust, New clutch, And a load more :)

Since i bought it the car has been great fun to drive, Has never failed to start and has always caught some attention. The only downside seems to be im paying for the previous owners mistakes ( lack of undersealing for instance) Right now i dont have any intention of spending a load of money on nice bits till the floors welded.

Pics of the floor should be up tonight :).
