Wash & wax today as it has stopped raining! No expecting it to stay clean or dry for long tho!

bit of playing about in photoshop...

Done! not doing anything more to it.

Famous last words,...thanks to RaulCarnahan im obsessed with getting rid of my blue seats for something a bit less blue, so been flat out searching the interweb for alfa 147 seats...

Cheers butcher!

I think I might hold off on anymore mods until after the new year, save the dosh up for xmas!

Heres the re-routed tailpipe, it had to be moved again due to the new bumper being about 10mm lower than old one. Slight bit of melting due to driving with it like that, thankfully not too much.
I had a piece of silicone pipe wedged inbetween the two, seemed to be wedged in tightly but it fell out 1st time I drove car.

Got the pipe bent down a good bit, scissor jack wedged up on pipe as it comes out of backbox, then big socket maybe 38/40mm, 2 long drive bars and a few times bouncing on it, sorted! Socket ment it bent the pipe at the original bend, rather than just deforming it.

also spent a few mins polishing it up, not expecting it to last very long, will probably rust up in no time.

Why not try source out some blue leathers or recaros from a 147? ;) my 2 front seats were 100 clams in kildare, im sure you could pick up a set for that in traynors or t-met (although ive had a very bad experience with t-met)

As for the exhaust tip, you could put a simple sleve over the end. Yaers ago when the Tempra was on the road it had a tip and its preserved the exhaust :)

Felt spec tip anyone.... (gets coat and runs off :p)

Very creative with your winter wheels, this is what they look like in the original environment...my old motor that I roled a few years back:cry:

Out of boredom I decided to clean up the induction kit while it was off the car.

Filter was left to soak with some kitchen cleaner sprayed on it for a few hours, then washed with a scrubbing brush and washing up liquid. A moderate amount of dirt seemed to come out of it.

The aluminium tube was fairly scratched up, so tried sand them and rebuff it with metal polish...epic fail! I assume its some kind of chrome coating thats on it, because it would only buff up parts of it, rest was left a dull streaky grey colour. Out with the primer to sort that. Had half a can of VW Indigo Blue Pearlescent left over, so used the rest of that and a few clear coats.

Hanging out to let if dry fully

Also, this is a welcome sight, a few weeks of miserable greyness and rain! Time to get the BBQ out!

Mk2b rear bumper looks ace mate...so much better than abarth imo..I was going to get one for mine but then I got this abarth one for like 20quid lol so stuck to abarth

Yea was after that rear bumper for a while, seen it shortly after I first got the car and thankfully it was still there when I eventually got round to doing them.

Wasnt overly keen on the abarth bumpers, but if I could have got the mk2b front bumper to match the rear, would have tried to join the bottom half of that to the top half of a normal mk2 bumper.

But, Im happy the way it looks now

There really are some f**kers in this world who just dont give a ****. I was gutted when after a week of haveing mine some one dented it with there door.

Hope you can get it fixed and cheeply, then hang draw and quarter the little c**ts.

Youch!! i'd cry too Colin if somebody did that to my car too :(

Its bad enough that you'll have to sand down the whole pannel :( :( :(

I envy the fact you have the spray equipment to repair it at least
BUT
Feel sorry it was good match and looked good

tough call - but do it up - fit CCTV and Next time catch the buggers by sitting in a bush with a sniper :)

ziggy
