Grande Punto Black Abarth

Introduction

Hi All,

This is my "new" Black Abarth Grande Punto :slayer:

It should be pretty much staying as standard, might just get a different air filter that fits in the same box but thats about it.

I upgraded from a T-Jet and it makes a big difference (y)

Hope you like the pictures. Was done using the turtle wax back to black kit. Well worth the money, but time consuming! Took me 3 hrs to do this.

Still need to clean the seats and a bit of the interior but that can wait till tomorrow :)

Comments Please

So currently in Slough getting the car serviced, a nice 6 hour wait for me! Full service, brake fluid and belts (3 months late) + waterpump to be done, don't think I need the plugs changed though, still looking at around £650.

Thankfully will be back down from Edinburgh on the 20th December, so able to drive it a lot more. Spend 10 months up there Monday - Friday so driving options were limited.

Plan to give it a decent clean over Xmas period, then deciding if I should winter tyre or not for a few months with my older alloys and keep the White wheels nice and clean!

You know what, I swear I have seen you over the summer months when I was playing summer league hockey in Broxbourne, week in week out...

Awesome car man, get that standard stereo out :p:p:p

Apart from that, she is b-e-a-utiful!

Cleaned at the weekend! Still needs a polish Etc.

Few mods planned over the next few weekends & a repair potentially, have to see if the parts fit first.

Might have some plans to do a few more things to the car this year, money dependant!

That colour/wheel combo is plain delicious! Wish the Abarth was available in aus :( a bit more "young" than my bravo!

So little mods!

will become this:

Real carbon fibre, just need to modify them a little bit and modify wing mirror as well! So I will finish it off next weekend and mount both of them.

Also have:

To attempt to rebuild the 2nd hand rears I got as my back right is having some braking issues! Was flagged in my last MOT and it passed but at £300 for a single caliper I am going to try the rebuild route first!

Hi mate,

Will you be selling the original gear knob as mine's looking rather worn!
Sorry probably not just yet, if I ever want to put it back to standard, then I might need it!

Managed 145 Miles for 3/4 a tank the other day, lowest I have ever had the MPG over a sustained period.... 18.9 mpg, my bro in his 3l Z4 got 23mpg over the same distance.....

Slight update..... Has had an oil change service weekend just gone and going to get two new Michelin Pilot Sports fitted to the front of the car this Saturday morning!

Still going strong and was checked over at the service and all suspension and brakes all fine. On around 57,000 miles and it will soon be moving into East London around Jun/July this year!

One current issue is the passenger side window not working (going up or down, but I am going to check the drivers door wiring this weekend as its a known issue) after that I will be investigating a little further if there is no fix!
