imo that sounds really nice,nice rumble,is it a de-cat ?
it sounds ok at low revs but i hate the chavvy fartin sound but love it when it gets crunchy/rumbly after 3k revs
sounds sick when high revs like 3 - 5k... where there's the torque. the 1.2 manifold made a lot of difference in sound
uh yeahh it's got no cat shhhhhh... I do have a cat called Jaffa though

Re: My Mk1 55s Punto project, finally finished

aha lol
think im going to throw my cat in the bin lol
sounds so nice without it :D
Yeah it def worth the sound. i got the middle and rear silencers on the gt3 exhaust still. its untouched just no cat.
what exhaust you got? i'd be very interested to what a standard punto exhaust sounds like with no cat! or with middle silencer removed? or rear siilencer and car removed lol. nice sleeper  wait.. sleepers are meant to be fast !

Re: My Mk1 55s Punto project, finally finished

yeh i, pretty poor atm so might leave it a bit then just get it de-catted and have a nice backbox :D
Btw-you got anything else planned for your car,or is it staying as it is for a while ?
i ain't gonna be doing anything but if i have spare money i'd do a bike carb setup. it won't pass it's next MOT though cos it's gonna be scrapped (n)

Re: My Mk1 55s Punto project, finally finished

not keen on the sunstrip, but thats my opinion.
each to their own.
many people dont like the fact that my car has a grey bonnet. i dont like it either, but the amount of people that complain about it is rather annoying though...

i actually like this car though because its different, not like everybody else's who have all the same(ish) ideas...

and on the topic of exhausts, all thats important is the noise. the size / shape is down to taste, if you dont like it buy a new tip from halfords :D
i have a janspeed on my sei, just a standard looking 3" SS pipe, but it sounds the nuts ;)

and good choice with the tramp drifter, i was looking at getting one too, sitting wide and low on 13" minilies ;) its the way forward :D
wide and low yes but Minilites... urgh.. why do people do it? it looks disgusting. they only work with Mini's!
