I'm going to give it a good clean and check over tomorrow but I had to have a play with the 4WD in our field first :D
looks smart(y) any plans beyond a wash &wax?

Basically I just want to tidy it up abit, I'm going to replace the broken bits of trim, give it a good clean underneath and inside and underseal it. Its got a couple of annoying things like the bonnet doesn't release without alot of messing about, and the tailgate strut is no good which need sorting out.

Think I might get some spot lights for the roofrack and I will be getting some more aggressive mud tyres when the current m+s tyres have worn down.

That how the 4x4's are (y)

Looking Fab with the Sisley there. Just remember though, they're alot more fragile, and expensive to repair compaired to the 2wd's (y)

Yep, already thought about that, was looking at parts prices at work yesterday (I work at a motorfactors) and they seem to be pretty high, front shock absorbers are about 80 quid each:eek: Hope I don't need to replace those anytime soon.

a tip for the dodgy bonnet, the two rubber bungs in each front corner, they screw up and down, scrw them up a turn or two and then shut the bonnet, when you open it they forsce it up cos they get compressed when it's down, then it pings up good.

The problem is that the catch doesn't actually release, even with two people it takes a while to get it open, the lever isn't pulling the arm far enough and I can't see anything obvious.

Nice sisley(y)
I wish that we have so much panda's for sale in reasonably prices:bang:
In Serbia panda 4x4 in good condition is about 2-2500e for 1985,86,87...

Thanks:)

It does seem that prices in the UK are fairly low compared to the rest of europe, they are on the up though, a mint 4x4 will sell for £2000 now, a Sisley more.

Had a good look underneath yesterday, the only areas that need some attention are the ends of the sills where they meet the rear wheel archs. Passenger side is quite bad and the drivers side is not too far behind. Will be getting those welded up soon, just need to get a welder and learn how to use it first:p. Rest of it seems solid, just needs a good wire brush and a coating of waxoyl.

Annoyingly I can't get insurance on it yet though, my insurers (Quinn) wont insure it becuase it is over 20 years old:bang: So it looks like I will be driving the CLX until August when my renewal is up and I can change to a different company:(

Quinn are currently in liquidation and wont take on any new UK business (a pain as I'm also with them and due to renew in May).

Good news.....(y)

I only have one of my pandas where the bonnet release works well..

On my old 750 I could pull the release and with my other hand on the bonnet I could wiggle it enough to open it.

I loved the fact that the release worked on my CLX!!! What luxury.

But enough of that, what a gorgeous SISLEY - I love that colour and the colour of those steelies just sets it off for me. You are very, very lucky - well done! (y)

Thanks:) I'm abit gutted about not being able to drive it until August though:( it does give me time to do all the bits that need doing without me needing to be able to drive it though.

I think its the nicest Sisley colour, although I would:p Shame it is so rare now though.
