Cinquecento richard33dees silver cinq

Introduction

Hi folks, it's about time ah got an MM thread of my own for my wee silver Cinq Sporting. Registered in June 98 on an R plate. 5 previous owners when ah picked it up in October 08. The car has run brilliantly since ah got it an it came with a bit of history too (which can be rare these days)

4years MOT Certificates and receipts for,
Sept 07 - New Cambelt, Spark Plugs, Aux. Drive belt, Engine/Gear box Oil - £276.13 FIAT Carlisle
Sept 07 - New Cooling Fan - £106.46 FIAT Carlisle
June 08 - New Centre Silencer & Backbox - £159.22 Hi-Q Carlisle

Pictures taken pre-MOT (Sept 09) Lowering springs are fitted, although it turned out the rear two were snapped.

Here's how the car has looked up till now, standard rear springs

Mods to come,
FK Cinq/Sei 70/50 suspension kit http://www.venommotorsport.com/produ...ory=Suspension Delivered
Eibach camber bolts http://www.venommotorsport.com/produ...ory=Suspension Delivered
B-pillar blacked out, Saturday
Suspension & Anti-roll bar bushes www.strong-flex.eu Product ID: 066074A (April although plans could change)
14" Abarth Speedline 5 Spoke alloys, need to sort out new tyres & spacers once suspension has settled

Av measured the height of all four corners and will post them up with some pictures of the suspension kit on.

No performance mods needed yet, nippy enough for me, even rocking on down the motorway. Especially through the Pennines M6 J38 Tebay > J36 Kendal :slayer:

only problem being, have you not stripped that car and sold most or all of them parts, mainly to M5HAW LOL

After speaking to clock34 last night, been checking out tyre sizes for fitting my speedlines, thank fook there just gona squeeze under my arches! Currently running 175/60/13's and the proposed 195/45/14's are 9mm smaller in diameter :slayer: happy days! Now just got to find the rest of the 200quid to buy tyres, spacers, studs and nuts :bang:

i really dnt know if its worth doing tho..

is it worth all the effort of re-shimming, taking apart the head etc?

its the same as with the mckrich. mixed opinions about both that and the 866 cam, different people say different things...

Ermm why you taking your head apart?

Valve clearance is part of the service, so change the cam is essentially the same process :), but just changing more shims.

Just wait till you need to change your timing belt, then it is the perfect time to change the cam as well :).

well the airbox went to m5haw lol and my spare head with 866 went to him the 40mm TB went to a lad in london but yeah i have sold most of it off to fund the GT conversion lol but still with the cam and the magies and the 4 point plugs and the smaller tires (175/55r13) he still flies

aye they do get abit quicker with a tad more power. im runnin about 85bhp and its nice and nippy :)

if i were you rich id get the chip next best value for money mod out there and its pretty much plug and play.

if you want when i pull the engine out of mine i will give you first dibs on the head if you want as it set up already and sweet lol but it wont be available for awhile yet as the GT lump is still in the rebuild stage lol

Re: Cinq goes ROAR!!

Got a couple more plans brewing :chin: so much for not modding it :ROFLMAO:

Well sunday night's ebay adventure didn't go so well. The Supersprint mani that was on there went over my budget (as i expected  ) I got outbid on an OMP 300mm steering wheel and boss and cba'd bidding on some smoked side repeater covers.

On the plus side, fablon is finally done!

I've started cleaning up my 14's, spent 3hrs on them with wheel cleaner and tar remover. I still need to clay, cleanse and seal them ready for tyres.

Still haven't washed the car since St. Andrew's, got myself a load of detailing goodies for my b/day crying out to be used including a pressure washer and snow foam
