If anyone wants to see anything specific just say & i'll take pic.

(I'll try to get a picture of the Progressive Black paint when the red shows up, its been black since i picked it up!)

Trolls, stay in your caves/under your bridges.
Its nice mate hope you are happy. Are they turning lights where the indicators used to be?

Thanks :)

I know the fog lights left/right light turns on when i corner (left or right) which is very strange (in a good way)

But apart from that ive not actually seen whats what light wise yet, will poke & prod it later on to see what lights are where.

I think the fog/turn light feature has been brought over from the Bravo.

Looks nice, still not sold on all the plastic. Definately looks good in the black though, as mentioned above it makes everything look smoother and less obtrusive.

Is Multiair any different to drive then?

Well, my old car was 10years old and was just what i label a go-kart on wheels, so when it comes to driving cars i dont have much reference & nothing compared to the Grande.... so whatever i say might sound like complete crap to experienced drivers, MrBoney has a Grande at the moment and waiting for an Evo to arrive, so he might be able to give a better idea.

But to me it seems to drive differently, but to be economical it likes to be kept at very low revs (below 2k most of the time), and it will actually ask u to go into 6th gear at 35-40mph. (6th only avaliable on the 1.4 104)

It seems to go pretty well, with my old car 1-2k rpm was great, then went flat til about 3k, then from 4k it went abit & then flat again depending what gear i used,..... this one just seems to provide steady power all the way through the revs, generally if i put my foot down in any gear i can feel it pulling and it often tells you to drop down 2 gears if your looking for some more juice but ive found almost any gear usually has an acceptable affect. (6th at 35mph, not so much!)

It also feels as if theres some technology involved when you press the accelerator, its very hard to explain but my dear brother decided he'd show up during one of the photoshoots in his 45minute old BMW 325d m-sport, which I stole and that things accelerator felt very "normal" to me in comparison

Quick run down: it seems to pull in any gear & the GSI is nice as it says to drop down gears so you know the car will handle it, i idled in traffic in 2nd gear and it didnt seem worried, seems to be good steady power through the entire rev range. (so far.)

That said, i don't know where the red line is yet as theres none on the rev meter (Rev meter has 7k max, but no markers.) + i'm trying not to rev it atm.

The only complaint I have so far, Start/Stop feels very odd, its probably just me needing to get used to it but i've stalled twice now at traffic lights, if i drive "normally" behind cars at traffic lights, seems fine, drive with any sense of immediacy and it seems to hang about.... Currently, im leaving it turned on incase its just me or the car adjusting to things, but thats the only thing im abit twitchy over atm.

I mean the light thats on here

DRL_Large_.JPG

If you mean the one thats turned on, its the Daytime Running Light, its always on unless turned off via settings screen or they turn off when the headlights are turned on.

So far ive been flashed once :p

The one turned off at the bottom of the pic i assume is the indicator. (I'll check when i goto dealership to get my tomtom sorted in a min!)

Ohh i wondered what that light was aswel, so it has a DRL & seperate sidelight? because i can see a sidelight in the main reflector.

Just checked on the lights...

Far left light (Turned on in pic), is the dedicated DRL.

Little bulb next to the headlight is the side light, when thats turned on the DRL remains on.

When the headlight is turned on the DRL turns off (and the side light stays on)

The light right at the bottom of the pic that you can only see half of is the indicator.

Below that theres the circular lights (not in that pic), which are the cornering fog lights when the steering wheel is turn to a certain amount in either direction, the left light turns on when turning left. and visa versa (they dont turn on with lane changes)

After driving around tonight, a few things learnt.

It has motorway indicators (dont know if grande does).

i.e small flick down, indicator flashes 4 times & turns off, click it down & it acts as per usual.

The cornering fog lights also turn on (left/right depending where indicating) when indicators are on full. (but they stay off when using motorway)
