Re: My Punto MK2 1.2 16v

Right i thought i would update this in what i have been doing in the past weeks, i aint been able to get on due to the block internet keep going down. I have been quite busy here goes...

Well heres my front bumper all sprayed up prob could do with a little bit more laquer on the sides of the bumper but the colour match and spray is prety good especially for me and with the resources i had!

Next is the spoiler which i sprayed and also the rear bumper sprayed at the same time as the front, i have only managed to put them on as the bumper needed prep work to mount it an as it is not a geniine abarth it is one of those replicas. I also had to wait for the new backbox as the old one had been melting my old bumper away! i have just got to make a heat shield type thing to make sure this new exhaust doesnt melt the new bumper!

Here is a picture of my new backbox, it is quite subtle compared to the other letterbox exhaust from before.

Tell me what you thunk guys i need feedback lol

Re: My Punto MK2 1.2 16v

I hope to be doing that and also the front fiat badge, but you have to weld dont you? just seems like a lot of work!

Yeh m8 you need a weld a plate. Grind around the fiat badge recess with grinder. Using the fiat badge as a template cut out the circle from metal tack in place then doing spot welds all the way around. Dont continues weld around u will warp the bonnet due to the heat. Grind down the spots so they are flush. Body filler sand etc. Thats the only 100% way of doing it. Dont fill with the recess with Body Filler or P38 I.E fibreglass the recess will just sink over time due to movement.

Its been a while since i posted on my thread as i have been so busy, I now have my new alloys, i am running on zitos now in white with yokohoma s drive tyres, these are 16" as these are the size i need for my new brakes when i get them. To go with this i now have white mirrors, handles, washer jets and white abarth spoiler. Tell me what you guys think :) Next step is coilovers and then the new engine when its in!

Have a look at the pictures, these were taken at graffiti tunnel in London.

Cheers guys :)
Luke
