X1/9 New member

Introduction

I only joined the forum about a week ago. Brought my X1/9 last September. I've done some cosmetics to the interior and those ugly bumbers as well as overhauled the brakes and clutch hydraulics. It runs pretty good. My plans are possibly to look at anti-roll bars and then the engine. Have a look at my photos.

Thanks, I agree the yellow looks pretty good - its original colour was light blue but the previous owner repainted. I've just done the carpets and carried the yellow through on to the plate by the accelerator pedal - have a look at the photos in my gallery.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Re the above, click on the User CP (control panel) tab at top left of page, click on the "edit your details" tab and select country. In the drop down menu scroll down and you will find USA between Tuvalu (where's that you might ask, lol.) and Uganda. (y)

Hi found this forum when searching I have a 1982 X19 purchased about a year ago. Needs work on the clutch. Had a lot of rust repair on the firewall all good now. Another problem is the glove box door hinge point is broken would like to know where I could get another one or the plastic liner on the inside of the door

I see you are in Aussie. You can check Ebay for parts but I generally go to Ebay.co.uk - parts selection will be greater than you have at home and freight costs are generally OK. Take your time searching as prices vary a lot a got a new old stock clutch for my '82 very cheap. You can find stuff in the US but freight from there is slow and expensive. However, Midwest-Bayliss are great. A great "store" in the UK is Eurosport-uk.net - very helpful, speeding delivery and great service.

Cheers

I think ebay is a better place to buy spare parts. It's difficult to find as your requirement.

Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone knows of any other 74 x1/9 located in Australia i have been looking around but cant find much at all. Im working on restoring my dads 74.

Here's another kiwi X1/9 in yellow!

Belonged to a good friend of mine, tuned Uno turbo transplant with appropriate suspension and body mods. Drove it once, definitely a most memorable experience! Went like the proverbial "cut cat".
