Introduction

After over a year on blocks minus its original engine, it was time to put this car right. Its not finished yet but progress is being made (y)

whats current status?

Well, I had to give the car to my mam as a replacement for her car, which I crashed  not my fault though, ignorant farmers running people off the road

I drove it for a month in 2009 to make sure it was all working well. I had the subs and amp in the back, that was quite hilarious :ROFLMAO: fun times :D

Currently its used daily, her daily driver. Looking to get her something with a bigger boot, although it holds the shopping well :p recently got 2 new tyres, getting 2 more hopefully this week. I think it may need new arms at the front. Need to replace the washer motor again, that's its 3rd one!

When I get it back I can do what I was originally was going to do with it when I got it. We'll wait till that day arrives ;)

Does look as though that front panel has seen the attention of a thousand tiny hammers.

What did it look like before you straightened it out?

This isthe worst of someone else doing the crash repairs before you get to it  previous owner ran into a bollard and broke quite a lot hence the scabby front. Someone made a mess of the wings :bang:

I'll see if I have pictures of it when I got it, but that's doubtful, got it a while back... The cross member was bent out of shape, the radiator couldn't sit in properly, bumper flopping about! A messy site :yuck:

People, it breaks my heart to say it but.... I can't save it :cry::cry:

I have a thread on a problem with the windows and central locking. It needs far, far more to put right. Normally, we wouldn't think twice and buy what was needed, get really stuck into the windows and c/l but.... The chassis rails are rotten. Crumbling away. Beyond repair :cry::cry:

So it's farewell to my cheeky little car in a few weeks. It's been around the house over 4 years. It's part of the furniture alongside the longtimers :(

But, all is not lost... :)

That's not my car to write about but that's it's direct replacement. A 1.1 and I really like it :D

Some of you might know I've a Peugeot 406 I'm doing up bit by bit as my daily driver but driving that Sei made me realise that's what I should have bought!!! :bang:

But I'll put that right (y)

So keep an eye out for a new Sei thread from me. Maybe not now, or tomorrow, or even this year or the next.

But someday I will return with one ;)
