Re: Brin's Lethal Black Punto

Please, please get rid of those Lexus lights and just tint your standard ones as well, I had the same naivety thinking the black Lexus lights would look good but they just don't, so took mine straight off and tinted the normals.

Also, slam that bitch.

Cheers mate,

I wired footwell neons to the wires behind the centre console that go to the cig lighter. (Black & Red wires) And i put a switch on the red positive wire so i can switch them on and off no wires and visible because they are all behind centre console.

I then joined another positive wire from the switch on the footwell neons and fed it through the passenger footwell into the bonnet. I now use this live positive feed in the bonnet to connect my grill neons and under car neons to the same one switch. (So footwells, grill and undercar neons all come on when i flick one switch).

The boot neons i will wire them to the courtsey light inside the boot. There should be postive & negative goin to that light just join the wires and your neons will come on when the boot opens and turn off when the boot closes.

Cheers mate,

I just masked around the cover its proberly best to take it off so you can paint all over i had to leave the bit where i think the injector rail thing is at the back but its not really noticeable unless you bend right over the engine bay and look towatds the back.

I tryed these alloys in black on my car when i bought them but it just didnt look all that good to me might be because it was black on black. (black car, black tyres, black alloys blended in tooooo much want it too stand out a bit) BTW the colour on the images are a bit different in real life pics taken on **** camera phone. Alloys look really white ish silver on pics but really they are a bit darker silver looks really nice and mesh is the same darker silver.

I might paint the inside of the alloys gloss black, the inside of the spokes i think that will look really great.

Dont want red mesh the mesh matches into the alloys mate.

Re: Brin's Lethal Black Punto

Credit to you for doing it yourself mate.

I like the wheels, colour coded trim, smoked indicators and I think I like the red front callipers and red rocker cover.

I dislike the silver mesh, red neons (sorry, never liked neons), the lexus rear lights and the painted rear drums (drums should only ever be painted black in my opinion).

The K&N filter is not a good way to go, it will make enough noise to get young girls wet but due to the nature of an open filter and it's location directly on top of a hot engine it's going to do nothing more than suck in hot air and sap power.

You're better off getting an enclosed filter with a pipe to relocate it away from the cam cover.

Should look much better when lowered.

What else is planned for the future?
