Thumbs up Out with the old, in with the new (my punto mk2a progress thread).

unfortunatly on fri 13th of all days i crashed my car
in the wet.
i wasnt speeding but the back end slid out as i was leavin a corner(bend in the road).
tryed controling it but it started snakin.managed to avoid all the oncoming traffick.but hit a parked car with the side of mine wich caterpulted me into the curb witch ripped the tire off the rim and that spun me into a 360 spin wich i managed to controle as the back end was lifting up i stopped it from roling onto the roof.im well gutted
i realy am devistated as id just got it to look how i wanted it.
but it could have been a lot worse. i could have hit the oncoming cars or roled it but i manged to avoid both with quick thinking.
i was unhurt. just realy shook up.

52 plate ford focus estate. wich only had lil bumper damage on the front and the front wheel pushed back a little.
the guy was workin in a wearhouse and come out mouthing off sayin i was drivin iraticly (witch even if i was he wouldnt have seen as he was inside). tryed gettin me locked up when the police arrived, saying alsorts. but he also had to travel back to liverpool wich is probly why he tryed getting his own back. but im hoping he aint insured as when we swoped details his writing was horrible and he didnt write down who hes insured with. but thats just wishfull thinking.

Even if he's not insured your insurance still have to pay for the damage to his car

Extended 3rd party liability. It's a ****

yup i know. think il have fully comp from now on. lesson lernt on insurance wise.
but like i said could have been much worse. as i was snakin (left-right-left.......) whilst about 8 cars went past me oncoming. do not know how i managed to keep it on my side of the road at all.specialy in wet. i was very unlucky but luck was on my side for keeping me out of a more serious situation. id be in A&E along with people from 5+cars or even worse.

then again you have to think....

how many cars in front of you rounded the bend prior to your accident?

how many after?

how many crashed?

if the answer is:

none

none

just me

you must have done something wrong.......

(look i'll be honest i had a near miss when i first passed so am not holier than thou)

get yourself booked on a skid pan day.....

just me and the parked car involved. i think i may have hit oil as a lot of wagons go down that road. iv drove down there in the wet on the same corner at same speed loads of times before.just that time something just made the back end loose the road.
