Grande Punto 2007 1.4 16v 3dr Chemical Grey

Introduction

2007 1.4 16v 3dr Sporting Chemical Grey

Well after an 'iffy' start to our relationship, (I neglected her for 2 years, running dry of oil and general ignorance) we are now the best of friends and I treat her like a princess.

No mods or anything so its completely stock, but definately looking to do some things asap.

Pics are a bit squiffy for some reason (I blame camera, lol)
I wish i had the cash to tart it up! lowered, gsr, de-orange the indicators, grille, etc, etc.

I'm thinking about the smoked black lights, rear tints, gloss black door mirrors, gloss black grille. they should be more on the affordable side. i think the lowering is on the top of wish list but mortgage takes priority.....

looks awesome :) what made you suddenly take a liking to her out of interest?

The de-tangoing is definately one of the first things you can do, that is simply a set of silver inidicator bulbs and they're pretty cheap! The grille can also be done on the cheap side, wilko's do some 'black satin' spray paint which is about £2 a can and a plastic primer...buy of each of those and your away! I think the vinyl is normally only about 15/20 quid as well to do the centre section!

its been riddled with problems from the start really, the usual, door locks squeeking, brakes grinding, glovebox alignment, door locks breaking altogether, flashing milage etc etc. after taking it to the dealers well over a dozen times and getting no luck i gave up hope (hence the neglecting).

then i got my fingers burnt and had to pay out nearly £500 in 2 weeks. basically lesson learnt and now i look after it. i figured if im nice to it, its nice to me (hopefully). so far so good.

Just ordered some new bulbs:

Philips Silver Vision PY21W (Side Repeater)
Philips Blue Vision H7 4000K Xenon/HID effect (Dipped Headlights)
Philips Blue Vision W5W (Sidelights)

and some Dark Smoke window tints for back and rear windows.

Will be calling at Halfords on my way home for some Primer/Gloss Black/Lacquer Spray for the grille. then vinyl the middle bit next month (y)

gotta start somewhere ;)

Best of luck with tinting your own windows (I presume you are tinting them yourself). I bought some of this film ages ago and ended up screwing it into a ball and throwing it out of the car within 10 minuites. Its not the easiest of things to do so in the end I paid someone else to do it.

Take your time though and watch out for bubbles.
