Re: Mk1 Progression Thread (Rialto Blue)

Love the colour, but if it doesn't have Toyo tyres and Eibach lowering springs, I would take them damn stickers off.

it's going in for a performance exhaust tomorrow so updated pics

Don't just focus all your attention on engine performance. I would say 14" x 6J alloys should be a prioity, fitted with some decent 185/55/R14 tyres. That really does tidy up the handling.

Nice job on the induction kit by the way, filter is in the right place. One thing though, is the emission control hose getting crumpled by the bonnet where it enters the induction pipe? Maybe you could cut a section out of the soundproof lining of the bonnet to prevent this.

Oh don't worry I plan to hold out the stickers :D Making it look pretty will be my venture after the exhaust so alls good :)

Yeah the emission hose is fine, it was getting stuck and bent at one point but I managed to bend it into a decent place

Re: Mk1 Progression Thread (Rialto Blue)

and maybe lose the MOT sticker in the windscreen too lol, they always annoy me as its first thing i see lol. but nice car mate

Re: Mk1 Progression Thread (Rialto Blue)

definatly recomend the alloys they really do improve the handling sooo much .. and the morale of the story behind the loss of hubcaps is

a: always cable tie them on
b: don't drive like a tit around corners

other than that its good to see a different colour punto getting some attention .. why not write a list of your plans

Re: Mk1 Progression Thread (Rialto Blue)

Hey guys, got the exhaust fitted on today, will have some pics up shortly and a video, but I love it, sounds very nice imo :)

But yeah a list of mods for the car would be:

- Alloys (preferbly some nice black ones)
- Colour code wing mirrors
- Debadge / Rebadge
- Exhaust system (Completed)
- Tinted rear lights
- Lowered
- Paint interior

Definitely approve of the black alloy wheel idea (y) All tasteful mods by the looks of things.

Re: Mk1 Progression Thread (Rialto Blue)

I didn't slam it that hard, I gave a gentle push, gravity took it the rest of the way :D

I don't slam my doors normally, annoys me when people slam them too.

Re: Mk1 Progression Thread (Rialto Blue)

Sounds nice. In fact it sounds near identical to mine. Mines powerflow too...
Mine is at a diff angle to yours though. Yours is like facing down where as mine is flat

I know yeah, it only clicked when I looked at your thread an hour ago. When I had it done at the garage I was told most Punto GTs have it like that facing the same way, so I went with it :)

What exact model is yours btw, 60sx? 55s?
