Bravo (Classic) I'd love to say I'm back..

Introduction

..but I've never really left!

Picked up my third Italian motor earlier on today! S plate Bravo HGT, 96k on the clock, and just had the timing belt & water pump done so hopefully that's that for a good long while :D Seems in fair nick for her age, just a few blemeshis on the bodywork that I may or may not get round to sorting! (y)

Hopefully getting some proper pics later on, so apologies for the Nokia-shot!
Few changes since last updated - Marea consoles now in, though I need to sort out a rear mount for it and fix the side parts up by the footwells. Also had some custom gaitors fitted, just need to get a new handbrake handle/boot at some point.

Polys waiting to go on again (maybe HID's too?) and the car has an appointment looming with the bodyshop to have one or two blemeshis repaired!

Still not 100% what to do re wheels - leave as standard, powdercoat the standard HGT's or bung back on the Stilo 16s are all possibles for just now. Will see, I guess :)

Well, I'm truly truly gutted!

Left the car at my mums in Aberdeen last night with a view to getting messy and doing the plugs/filters/oil and renewing the front brakes.

Instead I spent a good while trying to sort out insurance after my mums neighbour reversed into the bravo. Luckily it was a neighbour, and he knocked to inform us of the damage, but still!

Hopefully get the car taken away for assessment/estimates tomorrow. Which is when the mechanic was meant to have her for lower arm/cv replacement :(

an insurance company will most likely write that off.

new bumper, bonnet and wing at minimum plus spraying and fitting labour will be alot.

but if you found one your colour in a scrappy would only be about £60-100 to fix, maybe see if he would go outside insurance if they want to write it off?

Haven't really had time for posting of late, but the Bravo has been bought back for repairs. Started taking apart the front end on Monday...

Marea console out and new handbrake sensor switch fitted.

O/S headlight was a doddle to remove, but the N/S - where the impact took place - was a different story...

A bit of 'persuassion' was needed...time for the special tools?!

So thats the landing panel and healights off, i'm just about ready to take the wings and bumper off but ran out of time/willpower and didn't have a trolley jack to raise the front of the car. Hopefully get that done on Sunday though. Maybe!

Thanks to a few FS regulars, namely Steve199 and Martin who nipped in past today. Finally making a wee bit of progress. Had to go sort 101 other things so didnt get too much done, but getting wee bits done now :)

Good effort :D Is there any damage underneath the wing?

Due to having to go get the Vec on the road as well, we didnt get a full look. The support bracket was a bit out of line, but appears to be salvagable. If not, I believe its only a few bolts holding it on.

Despite getting seemingly very little done, I think it's enough progress to spur me on. I've a few weekends off now, but limited funds and the next few weekends all involve alcohol/nights out!
