Re: My Grande Punto Tjet

Thanks people :)

Nope sadly there not, got to be pre 1963 or something for black plates to be legal and then that set are a bit small anyway. 12x3 on the front and and 14 x 3 1/2 on the back lol

Re: My Grande Punto Tjet

What a shame! They do look mint on it.

Either way the car is still awesome, one of my fave puntos for sure.

I like the exposed intercooler

Yup i run with them occasionally but i cant be bothered with the hassle they get me.

Its the standard intercooler you can see not the rad ;)

Re: My Grande Punto Tjet

Oh yes my mistake :p

Might see if i can polish the intercooler up when im next home from uni :chin:

Re: My Grande Punto Tjet

Looks good some nice subtle mods (y)

Only thing is I think the small plates don't look quite right when there is already a big recess for them...

Cheers :)

Plates arent for everyone, but imo when you actually see them in the flesh i think they look alot better :)

Gotta love being in uni and still having a car like that!

The car is great, running it isnt :( lol

Re: My Grande Punto Tjet

its coming along nicely mate.. (y) bout time i got some pictures up of mine!

Hope you dont mind me asking a few questions about the HIDs.. ive been looking at some on HID direct and im quite tempted! Are they legal? Do they make that much of a difference, saying that anything has got to be better than the poor STD bulbs and how easy or hard were they to fit?

still luv the abarth lights, just wish they werent so expensive (n)

Re: My Grande Punto Tjet

Looks god damn awesome Matt, nice one dude (y)

That is exactly how I would want my M-Jet to look if I was keeping/modding it :yum: :yum:

:)

HID's arent legal but im still gonna run with them. They are alot lot lot brighter than standards, i can see for miles with them. They took me about 30mins to fit so not hard at all. :)

Re: My Grande Punto Tjet

Nice looking motor! Like what you've done with it.

You got any pics of the engine with the gsr and the interior with the red stiching?

Re: My Grande Punto Tjet

None of the GSR as its hard to picture because it comes off the turbo at the front of the bay and down into the arch so not alot to see. Got some of the stitching in photobucket somewhere so will find em.

3 different "high spec" cars with HID lights passed me on the motorway last night, in the rain and there was very very minimal difference between their headlight brightness, and my Philips extreme + 80% bulbs. I'm so impressed with them.

My GP headlamps are on the verge of looking "crystal clear white" if you look straight at my car at night. You dont need HID(y)
