Seicento '00 Seicento Sporting.

Introduction

OK, so I figured it was about time I did this so I could keep track of any modifications I've done to her.

Bought in April with just shy of 20k on the clock, I've only done about 1,500 miles since then - trying not to add too many miles on to it whereever possible by carsharing to work.

Mods:
Performance - Supersprint Tailbox, 4-2-1 manifold with decat, 40mm Tricker, ported and polished Uno inlet, custom induction kit.
Exterior - Carbon style number plates, FF Stickers in rear windows
Interior - Blue LED's behind speaker grilles
ICE - Tevion MP3/Bluetooth stereo, BOSS 4" 125wRMS speakers up front, BOSS 8" 15wRMS in custom rear door cards, 100wRMS BOSS Outlaw sub in boot.

Nope, lol. Still plenty to do but I'm not rushing as I can't get them on the car until I can afford tyres for them anyway, and as it stands right now I need new tyres on the standard alloys right now so that'd more of a priority :)

Re: '00 Seicento Sporting

OK, new shoes fitted to the 13's (XR611's) - feels a lot better and seeing as they old ones were practically bald it wasn't before time!
Quite a lot of banging and knocking which I think clock34 (happy birthday to him, btw!) identified as being worn bushes. Going to go with Strongflex as I said earlier but think it'll need to wait until next month now, would like to change the suspension as well and wanted a KW 30-40mm kit but they seem to be hella expensive, anyone know anywhere that I can get it at a reasonable price ... like, under £200, or recommend anything for that kind of price?

Cheers!

Re: '00 Seicento Sporting

I've not tried the kits myself but the FK kits seems cheap and quite a few people using them on here that i've read.

You could just get the springs for now and save for some shocks. I can't stress enough the advantage of adjustable shocks despite the extra expense. My sei rides bumps etc almost like a standard sei with the shocks on a soft setting, great for everyday.. Stiffen them up a bit and it feels more tarmac warrior.

Re: '00 Seicento Sporting

Strongflex bushes arrived the other day, anyone who has me on facebook will be aware of the fun I had using cheap hub pullers to change the bushes

Only done the front for now, needed new wishbones as the ball joints were shot so a lot easier to do off the car. FK suspension kit was ordered from Deutschland on the 2nd and is arriving here tomorrow (60/40 kit). Just need to set myself a long weekend aside and hope the weather stays dry :D

Re: '00 Seicento Sporting

Well I made a start and managed to shear both lower bolts holding the rear shocks to the trailing arms, so new bolts ordered from Fluffy.

A quick shot before doing any work:

And a comparison of the old and new rear shocks, the passenger side one would compress but wouldn't expand again so think it had had it a while ago.

To be continued ...

Re: '00 Seicento Sporting

Everything keeps breaking! Busted one of the rear hub bearings by trying to push it on at a slight angle, all of the nuts holding the ARB brackets on have snapped and the lower strut bolts are rusted to the struts, grrrr...

Re: '00 Seicento Sporting

dam did you put the orginial lowering kit on the car? Not copper grease them up :p...

You be lucky to find those ARB bracets second hand! They all seem to snap. I without the ARB :)
