Pictures haven't come out that well because of the overcast weather and my crappy camera phone. :(

Comments and suggestions welcomed. (y)
I really like this colour, and it looks great with that front bumper.

But I do think the 17" wheels make your rear brakes look tiny*

*not that i can say much cos i have drums on the back

I know they do. :( My rear brakes are drums as well, looking into doing a rear disc conversion. Think I need the entire rear beam off of a HGT to do it.

Also looking into getting bigger discs upfront, the alloys dwarf my front brakes as well.

are you gonna be taking the side strips off?

Nope, decided to leave them on, I think they help break the colour up, if I took them off then the car would basically look like a blue slab when looking at the side of it. :p They also help protect the doors in car parks, my car is completely dent/ding free but the side strips have got a few marks on them which proves they have done their job. (y)

apparently you only need the hubs to do the conversion, don't expect it to massively improve the braking though as the rears do very little.

tbh the front brakes are fine with better discs and pads so no need for bigger ones unless it's for cosmetics.

is there a guide on puntomk2.com? if so, it might help me to speed up my membership :D
and if theres a possibility of a bias box fitting in, jobs a gud un (y)

oh, and steve, the metallic colours benefit from de-rubstripping, the paintwork emphasises the lines IMO :)

There isn't a guide on there, not sure if anyone on the site has done one yet. But the rear beam is the same so you would just need to get the hubs and brakes off of a HGT and fit the whole lot in one piece :) Oh and don't forget you will need new handbrake cables

There are nearly 50 other guides though ;) And loads of discounts

Couldn't tell you about the bias box mate

Thanks for that, just need to find a HGT that is being broke for parts now. :p

And I wouldn't be doing it to improve braking, I would be doing it purely for looks - it looks pretty rubbish having big alloys with no discs behind them.

that would look the nuts de rubstripped

I'm not convinced, anyone wanna do a photoshop?

If you are getting big brakes on the front it's a pretty expensive cosmetic mod!
