Those who hate anything non-fiat, do not click.

Introduction

New car... The Punto's replacement... It's a 2002 Renault Megane Dynamique+ DCi (To give it it's full name, anyway...)

Half leather.. nice :D

Decent sound system too, although I need a new cartridge for the CD changer...

1.9 DCi engine with 105bhp and somewhere around 200Nm of torque... Might spend a few quid getting it remapped in the near future.

All I can say is... I love it already. Gave it some stick when I picked it up... the lowest I saw was 39.9mpg :D

why post that m8. tht aint fiat. wots the point. **** car enyway

Idiot... Lots of us own non-Fiat cars, I own a Fiat and a Volvo. Keep your opinions to yourself if you have nothing constructive to say.

That's a tidy Megane, a friend of mine has one of these and apart from a couple of Stiloesque electrical issues it's been fine. Quick enough and plenty of pull in third and fourth on the motorway. The seats are very very comfortable.

Best of luck with it. (y)

I looked at a megane coupe (2dr) 1.4 or 1.6 I forget (either way it lacked any sort of go whatso ever, yes even less than a 1.2 punto:p ).
And I couldn't drive it!!
there was a piece of dashboard plastic that hangs right down over the pedals, and I couldn't get my size 10 feet in there safely (i/e to brake would require some complex foot manovours).,

are the newer megane's any better?

Yeah, plenty of footroom. The real test will come tonight when I go to work wearing my steelies :p

cr@zy - This site isn't all about modifications, i've found this out over the year i've been here. modified cars play a part on this site, but they're not the heart and soul of it. if you don't like seeing standard cars then go to your local krooze site, i'm sure they'll have enough chav mods to keep you entertained ;)

Chav mods, o.k if you say so. Many of the cars on here are very tasteful and are an interest to ppl of all ages so DNT call me a chav. :D

no disrespect to anyone here, BUT WHY POST YOUR CAR IF IT IS BOG STANDARD?! We can see them on a day-to-day basis just by driving to work!

How do you know no mods arent planned? You do not know this person in the flesh. This may be a work in progress thread, we all have to start somewhere.

Also some people at the end of the day can sometimes not be able to afford modifications, maybe they dont have a lot of money, maybe it is a company car which doesnt permit mods, maybe people just dont like mods all together.

Who knows the reasons, but slagging off what someone may see as their pride and joy just because it doesnt look how other people want it to look isnt called for. There are opinions to be had, but then there is also downright rudeness.

By the same logic posted above I see modified cars every day on my way to work, why post your a modified car on here???

If we all posted the same car which was the same as everyone elses it would be a very boring place round here.

Looks a nice car, nice colour and a good standard spec., good luck with it (y)

As for Renault, mate had a Laguna 3 years and got out just before big bills loomed too large, a manager at work had a Laguna dci Priviledge (max. spec with Diesel lump for that year) and liked it lots with no problems. One of the directors had a Laguna with so many issues that they were permanently removed from the company car choice list! Woman at work has a very highly spec'd Senic dci, has leather etc. quite appealed to me but it recently needed a new diesel pump @ 800 quid (no warranty either - ouch  )

Then again you can visit the Stilo section on here and find horror stories... but I'm on my second phase I one now :D Like they say... you pays your money and takes your choice...
