So I thought while There's no engine in there I'll whip the front and paint the engine bay and chassis and change the roof and sides into a king cab so this really pissed of the purists because it and landrover defender roof and door also the windscreen

If anyone's wants to know how the truck was really built instead of me just chucking some pictures up saying I did this and this here's the full build another forum I know but just something else to read

http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f6/my-little-project-241312.html

Take no notice off the hate on there as the hate helped get the truck how it is now

Wow they take things far too seriously over there..how does it feel to be rapist?

That and a proper land rover is just a large mecanno set so as long as you don't start chopping things or get rid of the original bits going back to standard is always an option. They'd love a guy near me he's chopped 2 feet out of a range rover and made it a pick up...

our series landrovers have got to stay original old chap I'm forever taking the **** out of the for it,
Keeping things original isn't my style its was built to be smashed off road and get me home after

Well nothing really going on as yet waiting for it to warm up but there's is a plan of action so it's not sat around when it's finished and I'm driving around in my sei

So the plan is my dad's going to use it and take his discovery off the road so we can get on with some jobs we keep saying we're going to do but never get around to it

So future plans engine change :)
that will be three engines if this one goes ahead so a 200tdi will be the way to go even if I really really want to go v8 but 180bhp on a box that's on really rated for 70 it's going to blow it up I know people run them on the series gearbox but when I'm off roading I can get a little heavy footed so the 200tdi at 111bhp should be fine

Also finish off painting
Geting harnesses
Make some rocksliders
Finish the rollcage
Fit fuel tank plus plumming
Brakes and lines
Fit the leaf spring chassis Bush that I've been meaning to do to finish the lift
Longer shocks maybe custom mounts ect
Weld in the engine mounts as there the same mounts for the 200tdi
Wire roof lights and bonnet pod
Wire all other lights up
Finish the kingcab back
Bonnet pins as the front ends off a defender not a series 3
Fit rear winch
Wire front winch up
Maybe get some disco axles under her without going coilsprung disc brakes all round then

Wish list
Limited slip diffs front and rear

Some rims with a slightly bigger offset

Few pictures of various thing land rover related and the odd picture of my dad's disco
