RuSZ's Alfa Romeo Giulietta

Introduction

Hi all,

So moved away from FIAT again, but this time into something thats at least still Italian :D

So here she is, my Alfa Romeo Giulietta, 1.6 JTD-M2 in the Volace spec.

Heres the spec list;

1.6l JTD-M2 105bhp 246ft/lbs torque
half leather interior,
dual zone climate control,
BOSE sound system,
rain sensing wipers,
automatic lights,
17" Alloy wheels,
MacPherson adjustable suspension
Electronic Q2 Differential.
DNA System

The DNA system allows for adaptive driving.
in D (Dynamic) the supension stiffens, the sterring becomes more responsive, the electronic Diff allows for quicker cornering and better control and the turbo spools quicker
in N (Normal) this allows for normal everyday driving...
in A (All Weather). The boost is reduced to lower torque, the steering softens, the suspension softens out and the diff increases traction.

:D

Well first update. :D

Looked through the service book, and noticed that despite having 2 full services it doesnt appear to have had a change of Air Filter. :(

So I bought a K&N Cone filter for it

First thing, the air filters in the Gules are pain in the arse to change :bang:

They have a single pipe that runs from the turbo inlet through a MAF sensor down into the airbox, THATS IN THE BUMPER

They have circular filter and you have to access it from underneath by removing the wheel arch and undertray

And its a good job i decided to change it

And heres the new one fitted.

Air filter location is the same as the Bravo. Nothing wrong with it, just the car should be in the air. Something that won't be achieved on a jack, but would be on a set of drive on ramps ;)
