Nero - Alfa 147 JTD Lusso

Introduction

When the Croma went away broken, for about the same price we got a year older 147.

It has all the same toys, but is nicer to drive, and easier to fix. More importantly it's really Italian and not an American in disguise. (y)

Enjoy.

i think i agree with that statement, seems driving my alfa (1.9jtdm) when accelerating it don't seem to matter if you do it gently or quick the consumption is crap, so rant it upto speed flick on the cruise control and you seem to spend longer using next to no fuel than if you drive upto speed gently only to have to then slow back down again.. I just hate filling the thing up, costs a fortune to fill it, i miss my old stock sei sometimes you know.

What a pain in the arse that rear suspension setup it. It's fantastic as far as giving the car excellent road handling - but would it have broken the bank to grease the long bolt that holds the hub to the shock absorber?

Yes.. I'm looking at you Mr 11..

Well I got a fair amount of it off, but got defeated by the corrosion-welded bolt. Brother in law took over after about 12 hours of soaking in penetrating oil. One side is now replaced inc. a wheel bearing as the old one was shot (looks like the brake pads were dragging and causing heat damage).
