Silver Bullets replacement (caution pic heavy)

Introduction

My shiny Suzuki Swift 1.5 glx when I got it back home after what can only be described as hours of hell at the dealer

Staring down its predecessor, still bloody unsold.

The interior which seems well screwed together, but has things like exposed screwheads and no soft touch surfaces.

A 1.5VVT lump, quite nice motor but long gearing for a small car 3k at 70mph does blunt its pull in higher gears...Tho it has a timing chain so now belts to worry about

And thought i'd post a pic of the dash in the dark cos I reckon it looks cool(y)
Nah been home since about midday working on dissertation. Mine is a newcastle plate so definitley not me.

Looking for a sub a built in enclosure one with its own amp and some upgraded door speakers and possibly some dynomatting next once i've got some more money.

if you eman an active subwoofer with the amp built into the box, please dont! they perform badly compared to a seperate amp and sub.

Tbf just want a bit of bass that can be removed easily when I want carry bikes. There not enough space in the boot for a proper sub box and the gear I carry normally and shopping, otherwise I'd be thinking about it.

hmmm, you could go for one of them under the seat jobbies.. they aint the best but give a bit of bass.. or going into the sub and amp world.. if you get a slim line box mounted at the side of the boot then the amp mounted on the back of the seat or the box would still leave plenty of space tbf

Cannot believe how hard it is to find a good induction for this car....first of all for those who forgot my engine bay with the induction sucking air from behind the headlamp, also according to oldschool its pretty damn efficient anyway.

Then we have the contender from K and N albeit fitted to same engine in an Iggy sport

Am I the only one who can't see that generating anything but noise and sucking the warm air right off the top of the engine?

Then theres this example

really don't see that generating any power either.

Or am I just being far to picky? at this rate its a panel filter cos the only nice airboxes are for the 1.6 sport

The induction system on the Ignis (same engine) was remarkable good, as are pretty much all modern cars. I think the best compromise is to fit a drop in Suzuki Sport or Monster Sport air filter, then remove the baffle box/resonator section on the intake pipe and replace with one piece alloy pipe. the on ething the Suzuki System does is draw all its cold air from teh front of teh car, something you have not replaced with something inside the engine bay.

I had a the Suzuki Sport carbon fibre cold air induction kit on my Ignis, costs loads about £300 all in but was very well made, and made car spin a bit more freely. Although I think some Suzuki Sport stuff is now discontinued you can source most of it from http://www.greenline.jp remember the Ignis Sport was called Swift Sport in Japan code chassis HT81S engine-M15A

How mine looked

Er.....probably far to much...loath to post this as I'm waiting for a load of posts saying ha you could have had twice the power for 50p but Too much including fitting, all the wiring, upgraded components and tweeters (also JL) the sub, and the amp. Also sound proofing.

Already had a head unit its on the first page...I know fine well it would have been cheaper if I'd sourced the gear on Fleabay and fitted it myself but to be fair i'm far to f**king lazy these days and I'd rather it was done right and I had someone to shout at if it goes wrong. Also thats it for my I.c.e. no more!!!!

ah, so thats fitting as well. i missed it the first time around.

well anyway, you must have far too much money to chuck about :p

my sound system not inculding the HU i have probably spent less than £60 on  does me just fine though :)

Well I have the advantage of not having two fiats to look after also ever since I stopped running mk1s saved about 1000 quid in repairs that were always a running battle..its so far cost me nothing in repairs *goes to find some nice oak to touch!*

Next on the list once I've recovered from this financial donkey punch and probably after its first M.O.T. 35mm drop a black bonnet badge and anthracite wheels then i'm done thats that finished.

Now Debating whether to drop it....means switching insurance companies....but theres some used H+R springs for sale on swift forum done less miles than my current ones and with them being sport ones drop the car 40mm (have same part number as 25mm drop springs for sport)...60 quid....buying them new 185 quid...very tempted :chin: although was up in the pock marked roads of Cumbria the other day and not sure if lowering it is a good idea  Damn it....first time in my life I can afford to mod my car properly and i'm thinking about practicalities...I hate being older!
