Re: Focus

why not get a diesel focus?

1.6's in the focus are quite peppy, but the diesel has more useable performance

Re: Focus

1.8d Zectec would be the one to go for, almost like the 2.0 petrol just cheaper!!

You will notice the dip, ive noticed it coming from a 1.8, however its cheaper to fill up and more smiles per gallon and when it needs to it will go.

Go for a zetec model on any focus as it has the sports suspension and the rest of the range is standard ford suspension

The 1.6 or the 1.8 are the ones recommended, 1.4 is too slow and 2.0 are too thirsty the tddis are noisy and the tdci are rare in zetec trim of the mk1.5 shape (the one ive got)

Dont know what you are on about again, think youve forgotten to take your pills.

If you are replying to my original message as you never qoute any other messages and just randomly type into the thread you will see there are car mats there, the fog lights you switch off by pressing the foglight button on the headlight switch panel, the mondeo was reliable so no reason to change the badge and no i cant even hear the road as the engine is pretty smooth and have the radio on

Re: Focus

Small update really. Slowly getting some things changed on it.

Number plates were replaced because they were in terrible condition and on a lean for some reason so they got binned. Only standard ones mind but contain my nickname etc at the bottom.

A smooth rear wiper has been put on as all focus's have a metal one and we are in the noughties now, it just neatens it all up, suprisingly a variety of different marques rear wiper fit on focus, this one is off a 206 i think

Lastly rather than a full debadge have gone for a part debadge and upgraded to badges from a mk2/mk3 focus. Think it looks ok

Have some ST170 clear repeators on order as well

Re: Focus

Haven't seen this before. My dad had a 1.6 zetec and it was a cracking car, felt nicely screwed together, and it was such a sweet handler, it really was leagues ahead of the competition for years. Nice
