Re: Real Mini

if you are anywhere near kettering/desborough there is a scrappy in desborough called frank beale vehicle dismantlers was in there saturday and he has 5 or 6 classic minis all in various states, you should be able to get some good bits off of them. They're not long in so should be too bare!

They won't fit unless a set of S brakes (7.5") or 7.9" discs with 4 pot calipers are fitted as well.

You would need 13" alloys to fill the Sportspack arches but a lot of people don't like the way the car handles afterwards. You also need to cut the fron wings. 10" alloys have been fitted with the Sportspack arches but the car may end being real low for it to look right.

Discs? What are those?

Gotta have 'Minifins' finned drum brakes on the front. 10" Cooper S steelies go on a treat then

Aye, they do, but going from 8.4" discs to double leading shoe drums is a bit of a backward step?

Re: Real Mini

Well after a long awaited update.....

money has gone in, in abundance, to a certain extent, so im gonna book it in tomorrow to have some body work done, hopefully before end of month. I want ti roadlegal by the 2nd may probably wont happen though lol.

It needs:
New Front Panel
2 New Wings
2 New doors
1 Roof Skin
Body filler on slight dents.

Now ill be sending it in to have the front end done (wings n panel) as the doors i can sort. The roof skin is also too expensive for me atm gonna be a fair wack, mainly labour.

Also off out to get my self a compressor and spray gun soon, cheaper to spray my self until the car is completely how i want it, then ill get a full respray in originaly colour, i think, tempted by something fancy though

also had some good news, £80 for a full set of tyres for the steelies. So thats a good thing

bad news, ran out of petrol
