(G) Marea looses power at full throttle.

Hi.
My Marea 1.6 ELX is driving me crazy.
During acceleration with full throttle, the engine looses power in half a second or so.
It started periodically, but now happens every time i drive.
Sometimes it happens ones or twice in every gear shift.

Furthermore the engine started to stall at cold starts.
It starts and runs for half a second and then stalls.
It happens 2 or 3 times, then the engine keeps running.
Any advice is more than welcome...

Is it in a certain rev band?

search bravo section for posts by me about 1.6 injector failure. you need to check your injectors using a multimeter. its a very common fault on the 1.6 so its one of the first things you should check for.

Hi.

It turns out to be a crack in one of the ignition cables at the sparkplug end,
the spark was jumping to the motorblock.
