Ciao a tutti,

Qualcuno ha esperienza in merito? Oppure sapete indicarmi dove trovare
informazioni?

Grazie

gah I'll translate again:

Hi to all.

I bought a wire that will allow me to connect my iPod to the standard radio in my fiat marea.

However, when i press the mode button it doesn't let me select the CD mode, or otherwise referred to as AUX input.

The radio is: Grundig AD185H

From what i can understand there must be a pin in the DIN connector that if i were to press (using a screwdriver), the radio will sense the cd player's presence and will give me the possibility to select the AUX output.

Has anybody encountered this same situation? And can anybody help me figure out what I need to do or link me to somewhere that explains how it needs to be done?

Thanks

Hi,

I Have the solution!

I had the same problem for a few months also. After messing with the radio I now can tell you how to do it.

First, have a cable connected into the back of the headunit, left and right audio, and a ground cable. Just use an old headphone wire or something.

The method to make the headunit recognise the "cd changer" is rather crude but it works everytime on my stereo:

1) Insert a tape into the tape deck.
2) Select radio mode
3) Eject the tape
4) Press the mode button just as the tape is ejecting. Timing is crucial. The headunit will switch over to the tape, but there is no tape there. So the headunit goes onto the next mode in the cycle, which is cd.

This works everytime. Hope it will help somebody, as it is really good listening to the ipod in the car.

it would be far easier to get an itrip..you don't need any wires and they can run off the battery of ipod or you can charge it from the cigarette lighter. You can buy them for less than £4 on ebay!
