Does anybody know if the front lower wishbone is common accross the range of mareas as I need a pair for a 2.4 JTD (1999) but have noticed that some suppliers are stating that the 2ltr 20 valve is diffferent and as the 2.4 is also a 5 pot I was just wondering.
Anybody got a working EPER that could check the part numbers for me.

Cheers

Thanks guys, supplier states that the wishbone is common across tha range, got a pair of wishbones and track rod ends coming, will confirm one way or another after delivery.

ok, I can confirm that these seem to be common across the range. Only managed to get the nearside (most worn) one done at the weekend due to major problems getting bolts out.
Is there an easy way or a cheat to get these little beggers fitted, i've got no skin left on my knuckles, I'm even thinking of disconnecting the suspension strut to give a little more movement.

You've got there in the end! Before you start on the lower arm loosen off the bolts holding the strut to the hub carrier. Remove the top one and loosen the bottom so the hub carrier can move about.

They're a right pain on the Marea. Even more so than the Tipo which uses practically the same arm :D

Well, the weather stayed dry and the jobs done 2hrs inc TRE.
That makes new shocks and springs (std) all round, new wishbones and track rod ends. What a difference feels like a completly different car.
Thanks for the tip Hellcat, BTW have you got those manuals sorted yet.

OT.. No mate, been so busy with work haven't had a minute spare! If I don't have the time in the next couple of weeks I'll see if I can find time to drop off your manual.
