greetings all. driving a marea elx td100. am considering biodiesel. has anyone any experience using biodiesel in a td100 ? any opinons on this one would be welcome as i dont have a clue and injector pumps are expensive mistakes to make

Hi I have a JTD and use biodiesel 50/50 and you shouldnt have any problems with aTD on the contrary you would notice your engine being quieter it pulls better and you get more mpg it lubricates better than diesel and if your engine was a bit smokey it would disappear, just to clear something up do you mean biodiesel from the pump which is about 5% biodiesel and 95% diesel or proper biodiesel like you would make yourself hope this has been of some help.

Be careful with bio diesel on the fiat TD engines !. the TD100 uses a lucas injector pump which has rubber components/seals that are not compatible with vegetable oil bio diesels. There are several websites which show compatability of engines / fuel systems with different types of bio fuels / diesels, so it would be worth a look there first..
