Technical marea ECU - Hitachi model

Hi,

I am from Brazil and my marea sx 1.8 had a serious problem with its ECU. Temperature, air conditioning and other functions are not available anymore.

Anyone know where I can buy a used one? I have to buy a Hitachi ECU or can I buy another brand. A friend of mine told me that in case of buying another brand, I have to buy the “key locker” and new keys.
Does it make sense?

Try logging on to www.atpelectronics.co.uk This is an English company specialising in rebuilt ecu's. Are very good.

in theory it doesnt matter who makes the ecu, they should be the same, if you buy a new ecu it will permanently learn the key code of the first key which is used with it, this needs to be your red key, and then keep that red key safe, do not use it to drive the car, only to program the blue keys into the ecu.
