can any one help me resolve problem i noticed some white smoke occasionaly come out of exaust then discovered a drop in oil level and whilst going through the diagnostic routine to resolve this issue i discovered oil in air filter compartment and not just a little but a lot and in turn this is occasionally going into carburators (efi) and burning off thus produceing white smoke what is causing oil travel to air filter and how do i resolve it

Hi and welcome to our forum :)

What model car do you have?

There may be a 'T' breather tube from the head, inlet pipe and throttle body. This has a one way valve on the head end.

It may also be a head gasket if you are getting white smoke. Check your water for oil, mayo type sludge or a bad egg smell.
