Having snapped the swivel bit on the mounting block on the roof, I have bought a new mount, which comes with about 12mm of threaded studding sticking out of the bottom.

I've removed the courtesy light unit and the sunroof motor (was dreading that bit, but actually it was easy), and I'm now presented with a plastic bracket that I can't get out, and visible under that, a metal cap with the aerial cable coming out of one side, presumably covering the threaded stud on the original mount.
I can't tell if this is pushed on or screwed.
Trouble is, *if* it is screwed on, I'd need to rotate it umpteen times to get it off, which is impossible because the cable attached has no slack at all and disappears down inside the headlining. It doesn't want to pull off either.

Does anyone know the secret, please?

Hi Andy,

I did this job recently. The metal cover, which has a 'tunnel' on one side that the cable is routed through, is just a (tight) push fit - I levered it off with a screwdriver. There's a description of the procedure in the Bravo/general/faq section under 'leaks'

Brilliant! Thanks so much for your reply. I'll get more brutal with it now!

And I'd never seen that FAQ list before, great stuff there.
