(G) airbag light?

hi all
i bet your sick of this one. but here goes airbag light is on. and the car went through it's mot today. is they anyway to reset this? will the airbag go off or does it still need a prang to set it off. yes i can take a fuse out or take the bulb out. but will that stop it going off. if i disconnect the power. will i need the code for the radio and anything else on the ecu.

dunno about that one coz my air-bag light stays on also, mine passed M.O.T for some reason.

airbag light is not an mot fail, if they say it is shoot them, umm i mean ask them to get their book out and show you where it says it is

Does anyone know how to get the light out, coz it's pi s sed me off for months.

My airbag light came on a few years ago.

Fiat dealer has to reset the computer to get the light to go out.

They charge £50 - ouch.

I was told it would fail an MOT with it on, they lied, as usual.

If there is anything wrong with the airbag when this light is on, I don't know.

This is supposedly the only way to fix it once and for all.

It even quotes this in the hand book somewhere

The airbag light latches in and the only way to reset it is through a dealer.

If the problem persists tell the dealer to try the dummy resistor that imitates the passenger side airbag.

Thought I would add that my air bag light is also on..

Surely worst case scenario is that the air bags don't deploy in a crash? Oh well I've not had airbags in the last few cars I've owned so no loss there!

As stated the airbag light is not an MOT fail. If you don't like the light on, but don't wanna pay £50 to reset it why not simply take the bulb out! Problem solved!

you can't really take the bulb out that easily, you can however put something in front of the bulb so it doesn't shine (like i did!)
