(G) Fiat marea questions

Hi all,

Need some help and advice, so heres a few questions

1.) I have a air filter on the car (pipercross) and i dont think theres an air flow meter on it, i think this is affecting me temp gauge, as it always goes up and down to hot, but theres NOTHING wrong with my engine its not overheating or anything, so its down to this as the whole of the pipes have been took off and this air filter put in place (how it was when i got it)

2.) Also ive ordered a set of 17" alloys with the correct bolts so it fits my hubs, will 17"s be an issue on low profile tyres?

3.) Is this good for a cam belt change - £150 (labour and parts)

4.) My gear syncro mesh went, and was crunching in 2nd gear, it cost me £300 to get fixed, will this problem ever happen again?

5.) My car is on nearly 140,000 whats the issues that can happen at this stage?

6.) Sometimes my car revs grumpy on idle, somedays it will stay on 1000 and someother times will hover between 1000 and 2000 revs

7.) I have 6x9 for the rear but the metal parcel shelf gets in the way, i have ordered some 40mm spacers, will this do? if not what else can i do with the spacers?

8.) My sony cd player keeps resetting after i turn the car off and back on, why is this?

9.) if i get a sub for the boot, will i notice it? as the boot is sort of cut off from the rest of the car. (boot opens up in its own space)

10.) the slider for the fresh air or re-circulating air, it will click in to re-circulating but not the fresh air, whys this?

11.) what size speakers will fit in to the front door cards and what size for the dash? (tweeters??)

12.) my car is gunmetal grey (metallic) which would you have silver mirror tints or black tints for the 3 rear windows. (jap spoiler is silver, and alloys are silver)

13.) i have blue bulbs in side with neons and am getting purple led neons for under the car shall i change the bulbs inside or leave 2 different themes to the inside and out?

sounds like you have the + and the memory live the wrong way round so just swap them over

1/
if you dont have air flow meter plugged in it will run crap, nothing to do with temp
2/ 17" should fit ok

3/ depends on engine size

4/ if you have had full g/box rebuild it should be ok for 50 k

5/ not much if you change the oil every 4 thousand miles

6/ if your air flow meter is unpluged then it will run crap if its only on idle then u need to clear or replace idle control valve

7/ it depends on the size of the magnet in the speakers

8/ swap the red and yellow wires over red into yellow vice versa

9/ yes you will still hear the base in the boot but you will get lots of vibrations

10/ grease the mechanism

11/ takem em out an measure them

12/ noooooo dont do silver!!!!!!

13/ under car neons = chav!!!
