(G) should i have air con ??

lo i have a uk 02 fiat marea 1.6 sx and ive seen the same spec marea with aircon even the older models and uve been told that mine should have it too

can any1 shed some light plz

i thought all face lifted Marea's (2000 ish) had aircon

was one of the reasons why i changed from 97 R 20v to 2001 JTD

ps just checked parkers apparently only the '1.6 sx 16v' & '1.6 16v ELX' had aircon as standard the standard 1.6 sx only had Air recirculation system.

ooops mine is a 16v,i thought they all were ,mine dont say 16v on the bodywork but its a 16v engine and says so on it,plus on parkers site theres only 16v listed

Do you have a sunroof.
I think there were 2 options:
Models with a sunroof did not have air con.
Models without a sunroof did have air con.

no m8 i aint got a sunroof

Possibly a misbuild then?

I don't know about Fiat but VW have a habit of misbuilding cars, they 'forgot' to fit aircon to a number of 2000 New Beetles, so they were sold at a reduced price, and just last year they 'forgot' to fit the electric roof mechanism to a number of Beetle cabs, these were also sold at a discount.

Perhaps yours is something like that?
