Hey guys, I moved to bulgaria and bought a 1999 Marea weekend 2.4JTD used it for 2 weeks than one day i got a injector light on with weird throttle response around 1500-2000 rpms. This week when i go over a zebra crossing, the throttle doesnt responses. If i flat the throttle it gives %15-20 of throttle. And when i go over a zebra crossing fast, it turns in to normal and goes like a bullet, so i went to a alfa-fiat service "local" they hooked up to diagnosis and told me that "they dont know english and i don't know bulgarian" there is a sensor which gives an error pointed to the down left side of the engine(aux belt side). Do you know any sensor that can cause to this type of error? I'm a student and i don't want to be fooled by the mechanic.

I love my car so much by the way.

Thanks

Only things around there might be the cam position sensor (not likely) and the knock sensors, or did an actual injector throw out a code? Does JTD has some extra sensors there, I do not know.

Time to get 3-pin adapter and vagCom/elm327 as the free version of multiecuscan supports the engine? They dont cost much on eBay/similar sites.

I asked him special if there is any problem with injectors he said no problem. I just found out that there is a small point leak at EGR valve tube. Does it have anything to do with my problem?

Hi, and welcome, :)
worth unplugging all the sensor wires on that edge of engine,
spray in some contact cleaner and reassemble,

A £5 can of cleaner will last you YEARS , and could save a LOT of mechanics bills, ;)

Thanks :) I will try to talk with the mechanic to know what sensor it is exactly so i can try to clean it or change it maybe.
