Hi

I just got a Marea 1.9 TD ELX 100 off a guy at work, very pleased with it generally, just a couple of things i need to know.

The Glowplug light is flashing, i have been quoted £279.00 GBP to change all 4 Glowplugs as they are hard to get at, is this a fair price ??

Also there is a lot of rust on the underside of the Sunroof at the front which is pushing the rubber seals up causing a lot of wind noise, but it doesnt seem to actually leak water in the rain, any idea how best to fix this or how much a new sunroof would be approx ??

seems expencive for glow plugs. dead easy to change just buy a swivel head adaptor for your socket set (£5) this will allow easy access. glow plugs should cost £50 or less.

Thats what i thought but the garage said they had to take a lot of bits of the engine off the get to them, part of the fuel system i think he said, does that sound right ?

How long does the glow plug light flash for? If it's less than a minute, don't worry, they're supposed to do this for reducing white smoke when cold.

Do be quite honest, I'd only change the plugs if you're getting cold start problems if it's that expensive.

Yes its less than a minute, not sure how long havent timed it, but say 20-30 seconds.

Since it started flashing the engine seems to run rough for the first couple of minutes, would this be connected ??

Going back to the sunroof, does anyone know where i can get a second hand Sunroof, maybe from a breakers yard, have tried online breakers but with no luck..
