Hi all, new boy saying hello (y)

I'm looking at buyin a marea weekend, it's a 1.6sx. Test drove it yesterday, really nice except one thing, the brake pedal felt really "flappy" (excuse the expression). The brakes work fine, but the pedal seems to do nothing for the first bit of travel and then do all the braking towards the end. Is this normal?
As I say, the brakes themselves are good, it just feels odd.

Thanks for any input

Yeah I did wonder, however the pedal didn't feel spongy (although to be honest I'm not used to a servo, my daily is a 68 beetle so no servo and the brakes are lovely and responive on that, and the wifes astra coupe has good feel with a servo).

Its just had its 72k service so I wouldn't expect any air(I presume they change brake fluid?) unless they have inadvertantly let some in during the service.

Hmmmmm......it's a nice car other than that.....what to do....

Cheers for the response anyhow
