Hi all just looking for some info on the marea i am putting a new sump on my marea and am having a hard time does any body have instructions on the removal and refitting of this it would be greatly appreciated

Hi Mike and welcome to our forum
What problems are you having?
What engine is it? Some models don't have gaskets and are fitted with silicone gasket. These may require 'loosening' with a rubber/wooden mallet.
They should be a straightforward swap otherwise.

hey dave it is a 2litre 20 valve there is no sump gasket ive stripped it all the problem is the sump is loose but it looks like i need to remove the cv joint in order to get it passed and for it to slide down looks like the cv joint braket is in the way

if anybody might have the remove and refiting instructions it would be great ive been battleing for 3 weekends now and am getting rather frustrated ,even thought of taking it to a garage

isnt the drivers side drive shaft support bearing bracket part of the sump.?? i thought they had an extension shaft out of the gearbox to the end of the sump then the inner cv joint and shaft out to the wheel.

i suspect you will have to remove the whole drive shaft assembly.

Thank for the info guys i found out that the engine needs to be lifted for clearance to get the sump off anyway im going to take it to the fiat specialists thanks again any idea were i can get side skirts from
