HI ALL firstly let me say great forum
I've just got my 2.0 20v Marea HLX (yesterday) but i`m having a problem with the alarm/central locking ?
I have red key + 2 Blue alarm fobs + Alarm off key (yes it has the lock under dash).
both blue keys unlock the doors manually and start the car (key icon on dash goes off within 1 second), but they don`t work the alarm/CL
I have tried the reset button thing as it states in manual (with light console on the roof) light flashes fast while holding in the button with a pen but when i press keyfob button the flasihing slows down (but doesn`t just stay on like it should)
if i start the car the alarm goes off (so i've had to disable it with the round key)
i haven`t treid new batteries yet but the light on thefob flashes repeatedly and brightly plus when trying the reset thing with the roof light cluster it is responding to the button press cos the light flashes slower?
any suggestions on how to fix this ?

.... if i enable the alarm using the round key the turn on the igniyion or open a door the alarm goes off (indicators and siren work fine) to disable the alarm i have to turn off with the round key.
