:bang: Does anyone know if the wipers should automatically go back to rest at the bottom of windscreen when switched off. Mine stop wherever they are in middle of screen etc. and I have to fiddle to get them to rest at the bottom.
If anyone knows how to solve this if a fault I would be grateful.

Car wiper electromotor has "auto-park machanism" which keeps wiper electromotor turned on untill "zero-point" (bottom of windscreen) is reached. In most cases, electrical contacts which are located inside motor & mechanism body gets dirty and do not provide good contact.

If you have minimal technical/electrical skill, just disassemble motor body and clean/repair circular plate(s) and brush(es) ..... or just replace motor with new one!

Thanks for reply regarding wiper motor. I think I will leave well alone and suffer the agro of setting them at the bottom . Electrics and wiper motors are not a strong point for Fiat! perhaps they have not had electric in Italy long and it is still new fangled for them.
