After having had all front wishbone bushes renewed, the suspension is squeaking when I go over a bump or turn the steering wheel.

According to the mechanic who fixed them, the bushes are making such a noise.

Any similar experience? Have the bushes been inserted (pressed) at the wrong angle such that the rubbers are now under extreme strain?

A knocking sound has also developed and the mechanic says he can't hear anything :eek:

:confused::confused:

You replaced the bushes on the wishbones?

Why didn't you just get new arms? They would have been cheaper than the time it would take the mechanic to replace the bushes.

If you can hear knocking, and the mechanic can't - then time to call in a 3rd party to act as witness for the knocking!

Perhaps a good spray of silicon lubricant over, around and in the bushes might help quieten down the squeaks!

You're right. I did realise later I could have better mounted new wishbones but now it's too late.

I wouldn't think spray would help. As far as I know the wishbone pins are tight in the steel bushes and the rubber is alslo moulded without any clearances.

Anyone had any squeaks??

My marea squeeks when you go over bumps! its the lower bumper moving up and down on metal worn pins :D

No sounds from suspension or underside component though! o_O
