Due to my Hubbie being sick I got a mechanic to change the cam belt on the 1.9jtd Marea 110. He changed it today and now I started the engine and it sounds like a really old engine that has a REALLY bad tappet clack, coming from the head. The mechanic is coming back tomorrow but I fear that he has put the cam belt on say one tooth out........Could the clacking be piston to valve impacts ???? I cannot think what else it could be as I do not think that the pump is timed to the engine on this model....and the tappety Clacking noise is directly linked to engind speed/ revs...!!
