Got to say, the 130 JTD pulls a heavy trailer brilliantly. Hardly noticed it was there. If I had swapped my tow bar from my 105 JTD to my original 130 JTD, I reckon I'd still have that Marea!
Mine is the 1.9 and I pull a caravan all over the country and its the full amount allowed to tow 1300kgs and maybe a bit more with the kitchen sink. I dont have any queues of traffic behind me either sometimes theres cars holding me up mind I do have a bit extra power.
My JTD 105 makes a good tow car although it dose struggle on hills at times, the caravan weighs about 1200KG. I just wish the nose weight was a bit more generous. 70KG is a bit on the light side. A bit more power would make all the difference, although at almost 13 years old and 124,000+ miles I don't suppose it has all its 105 horses anymore.
5.4m² of concrete paving slabs. Something between 600 and 750kg.
Easy!
Followed that up with 18 boxes of tiles and 10 half-inch plasterboards. That seemed a little harder to tow though - possibly due to the brakes being on a bit. Ooops. Might have noticed in a lesser tow car.
