TomTom 3rd docking (no more flying cables and no suction on windscreen)



parking sensor (ebay 23€)



and parking sensor display mounted on the rear (next time a pic with display on! I know, this one is terrible!)



There's also a gps tracker but is invisible, I can turn of the engine with an sms, know where is the car and other interesting features

searching for lybra seats.. do you know if are suitable?

how does your TomTom keep charged if you have a docking station? Or have you wired it behind the dash and got the cig-plug hanging down ready? smart idea tho,i like it.gona have to get me ones of these lol

it's directly wired to the ignition power with the stereo, the cig plug is free

clever thinking that,nice and tidy

but its usb? how have you wired it to ignition?

used an usb -> cig adapter that I've welded to the power, all the stuff is hidden behind the radio

was thinking you may have done something like that..top stuff

any idea on retrim doors panels? I have the alcantara but it's small pieces from lybra panel, do you have pics of marea's panels from rear? just to discover how the retrimmed part is fixed?

the rear part is glued on or is it a plastic rivet, i drilled the, out and and then once re trimed re-glued them on usinga glue gun

May I know where you got the TOM TOM dash mounting? Is it available from ebay?

Hello Ratatuia, Your Tomtom mount is brilliant good work

I think the door cards will be tricky, they dont look easy to work on. I heard some people glue the fabric over the original then just push the edge between the plastic and old fabric from above, not sure how that will work.

Here is a picture of the door card inside. The card is melted to the fabric, once these melted parts are broken the card comes off.

They can be redone with a glue gun just make sure the gun is held a few seconds on the plastic backing to get a good melt and hold in place till hard.

probably will search for a spare set of cards from a scrapyard.

One question: I'd like to install power windows on rear, do you think that cables are ready behind the cards?
