I spoke to my local breakers yard.
Also remember that you can get a motor for a Fiat Bravo or Bravo as that will fit the Marea (as will a lot of the parts from the front doors forwards as it is only the rear of the car that is really different).. You are more likely to find a Brava/Bravo being broken for spares than a Marea.
I got a Bravo one and it works a dream and fitted perfectly. Only cost me £30. Done the same with a front door window that came off a Bravo and fits like a glove.
Max
when you found a bravo what model was it ie yr/size engine etc as my wipers only work on the fast setting after the bad snow we just had,,
I would think any Bravo or Brava motor would fit.

I think I paid about £30 secondhand for mine sourced via partsgateway; seem to be lots of wiper motor failures lately probably because of the cold weather; my daughter tends to just switch the ignition off without ensuring wipers etc are off first; the wipers were in the non-parked position so when switched on in the morning and frozen solid to the screen the motor burnt out tring to park them even though she switched the wiper switch off; easy DIY but note the plastic shield is in 2 parts; there are a lot of clips; ensure ALL screws are removed before trying to prise it off; the side screws were rusted but are only screwed into plastic and came out with a reverse drill bit; I replaced all the screws with ss ones....
