Pulling into the driveway yesterday and noticed a lovely tame sparrow on the gate.
Meanwhile.... on the other side of the car the door handle met the other gate. It was an stoppable force meeting an immovable object and it stripped the handle off.

I have bent any metal back into place but now I need a unit, everything that sits outside the car.

I took the panel off from inside the door and its a pain in the **** to get at.

I suppose there isnt an easy way to replace a handle?

Ideas?
Thanks.

Handles will be replaced with bolts/screws from inside the door. If it were possible to strip them off from outside (without hitting a gate) it would not be very thief proof.

I've never done it on a Fiat, but on every other car I've had the handles off it's a case of removing the door card and disconnecting the rod that pulls on the latch - then undoing a couple of nuts and lift the handle out.

Not that hard, but often fiddly - sometimes made easier by removing the window winder mechanism.

Got the part delivered yesterday and the handle on today. One deviant from the instructions was that I left the 'dangley' part loose and then fitted the handle. Then I reached into the door and was able to clip a part with treads around it.

Thanks for all the help!
