Hello all

I had my engine washed at the local Fiat garage when I discovered that I had been driving my car WITHOUT the oil gasket screw-on lid for about 2 weeks!! (I had been wondering why the car had been losing so much oil!).

I've been absent minded lately, to say the least....

Anyways, the engine was COVERED with black oil and they washed it and fitted a new lid, etc.

Since then, the injector light comes on briefly every now and again while driving (it's mostly off though). Could the water (or whatever they used) have dislocated the sensors somewhat? In any case the engine is spotlessly clean now.

Is this a serious problem? IE if I neglect it will it get worse ?

What should do I do? Buy some injector cleaning solution and add it to the diesel? How much should I use (mixture ratio) .

Is there anything else I can / should do?

Thanks

If they Jet-washed it they are stooopid... all electrical connections should be avoided or protected. Best just NOT to Jetwash an engine IMO.
