HI FOLKS
I HAVE A MAREA 100TD ELX
THE MILEAGE READOUT LIGHT HAS DECIDED TO EXPIRE, I SPOKE TO FIAT AND WAS TOLD IT IS A REPLACABLE BULB BUT YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE DASH UNIT!
HAS ANYONE DONE THIS?
HOW IS BEST WAY TO ATTACK IT?
ANY INPUT GREATLY RECEIVED.

HI JOB VERY EASY FOR ANY D.I.Y.ER
TWO STAR SCREWS BY STERRING COLUMN/ THREE MORE IN HOOD OF INSTRUMENT PANEL.
REMOVE HOOD AND UNPLUG SWITCHES. FOUR SCREWS IN FRONT OF INSTRUMENT PANEL.
PULL FORWARD AND UNPLUG THREE PLUGS FROM TOP OF PANEL, REMOVE SIDEWAYS. REPLACE LAMP AND INSTALL REVERSE OF REMOVAL. DO NOT TURN ON IGNITION WILL PANEL UNPLUGGED OR AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT WILL STAY ON.
HOPE THIS HELPS

Thanks for this info, I have this problem as well.

Do you know the part number for the replacement bulb so I can order one prior to attempting to remove the dash!

1: Disconnect the Battery,
2: remove the lower shroud from the steering column
3: remove the upper shroud form the steering column
4: remove the fuse cover, (with the key) to the right and under the ignition
5: remove a screw under the instrument panel (access from the fuse board)
6: remove the five, 4.0 mm Allen screws (3 top, 2 bottom) from the surround
7: remove the two Allen screws from the top of instrument panel
8: disconnect the wiring plug

hope this helps
