Hello,
Has anyone got an idea what my problem can be?When i drive along a bumpy road the injector light comes on and i lose and gain power.I have recently replaced the map sensor/airfilter/oil/filter/fuel/filter.Have disconnected the egr unit used injector cleaner frequently, disconnected the ecu connectors and reconnected after using a good contact spray.Disconnected the battery overnight to reset the ecu.None of the above has helped the problem. This problem is also sporadic.I can drive for miles and not have problems then suddenly it starts again. The fiat dealer diagnostic says maybe a throttle sensor problem.???? HELP this part is very expensive and the fiat mechanic couldnt even tell me the location of this part on the car.

Thanks Darren,
It is indeed a throttle sensor but for a petrol version of the marea.
Mine is a diesel JTD 105.

hi just how much is this part anyway?

Well i live in Holland and was quoted around 500 euros ex VAT from the fiat dealer who couldn't even tell me where the part is located in the car.I don't trust these dealers and if it is the throttle sensor at fault i will get it and fit it myself

I would try and contact your local Motor factors. Seems a bit expensive.

I got quoted £340 for a MAF from Fiat, but I can buy one online for £30!
Sorry I can't find one for you but if you try a local garage they should be able to order one in for you and tell you where it is.

:) Darren

Thanks for the info.I still would like to know the location of this component on the car.Cany anyone help?

this is all I can find at the moment but Ill keep looking

there is no throttle sensor on a JTD. but there is an APP (accellerator pedal position sensor), i.e the accellerator pedal has a potentiometer built in (three actually) that tell the ECU the position of the pedal. We can have no idea what the problem could be but if you get the proper fault codes from the diagnostic and not a vague description then it might help to pinpoint it.. there is little point in replacing stuff without good reason to suspect it.

Hello,
I have the proper fault codes and the items have been replaced which include maf sensor clutch pedal relay etc.The only one missing is the so called app. This is clear to see on the second diagram item 14.Now that ive found it i can replace it.
